The foundation of Megha Group was laid in 1990 by Late Mr. V N Pavithran. He was a self-made businessman who hails from a family of planters. He started his entrepreneurship with tread manufacturing unit and trading of the tread rubber to the middle eastern states of India. In 1998, he started a metal crushing unit near Perumbavoor. By 2003, he had entered the field of mining, after which tread manufacturing and trading was discontinued and the existing crushing unit was expanded.
In 2017, after the sad demise of V.N Pavithran his son Mr.Gowtham Vattappara Pavithran took over all the business and redirected it to a new level. He set his corporate office at Perumbavoor and expanded all the existing business to various industries by holding the motive of quality and service.

Megha Plantations is a conservation project started by the family after purchasing a hill slope and converting it into spice plantation in 2011. Spread across 200 plus acres of land in Nedumkandom, Idukki district, this famous spice plantation nurtures cardamom, coffee, and pepper. However, the main cultivation is Cardamom. It is one of the plantations in Kerala with a check dam for its irrigation. The office consists of Inspection Bungalow, quarters for Labourers and Supervisors. The company has nearly 150 employees including managers, supervisors, permanent workers, and daily wage workers. We aim to produce export quality products of cardamom, pepper, and coffee.
